Mar 2nd – Day to Return
Rachel and I were up at 4:30am to finish packing, get ready and eat a little before we left for the airport. Our flight was at 7am, so we left Geoff’s apartment by 5:15 to get there at 6ish. Nixon happily trotted with our bags while trying to eat our feet and we checked our bags, said goodbye and went to our terminal. On the first flight back to Munich, we both slept. Then on the last flight to Madrid, well…I slept. When I woke up, it was to the sounds of the German tour group on the flight buzzing excitedly about seeing Madrid for the first time. Funny how being a tourist looks the same regardless of the culture! But it was so nice to finally go back to where I could understand the people and what was going on! Once we got our bags from the baggage claim, we got on the bus and headed back to Alcala. Stepping off the last step and getting my luggage off the bus, Rachel and I couldn’t believe that we just went to Prague this past weekend! It had to be one of the most relaxing weekends I’ve ever had and we saw everything! Normally if you are relaxed and going at your own pace, you don’t get to see everything…but we did, and we had such a great time exploring the city on our own! So, saying goodbye and see you tomorrow at school, we went our separate ways…completely happy. I arrived back at my host home to find a very anxious little Adrian who missed his playmate this weekend! We watched cartoons for a bit, ate lunch and I unpacked my things. I pretty much slept the rest of the day and night after I unpacked. Great weekend.
